Hi there! I'm LaShae, one of the owners of Mountain Lilies Boutique, and it is my pleasure to welcome you to our store!
Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a stay at home mom to my sweet little boy. Of all of my jobs, this one is my favorite. Nothing brings me greater joy than to see that little boy smile at me with his big dimples. My husband is a cowboy - well he's from Texas which is kinda the same thing. He's all country, which is rather humorous seeing as I'm all city. He could camp out every weekend and I run at the sight of any kind of bug. But we work, and it's amazing.
If there's something I could be doing right now, it'd be reading. I love books. My suggestion? Find a genre you love and stick with it. I love reading Christian books and sweet little stories like Sense and Sensibility. There's nothing like escaping for a few hours into the words of a good book.
Music is a huge part of our lives, and I love that Nathaniel gets to be immersed in it. I play piano for our church, my husband plays the trumpet and drums, and of all the instruments the guitar is Nathaniel's favorite (so far). I can't wait to see which one he chooses to learn first when he's older!
But let me talk about Mountain Lilies. I have to say that opening this sweet little shop has been a dream come true for me. I would have never thought I could be an entrepreneur, a business owner, a clothing boutique owner-yet here I am! I'm still amazed at how this all came about.
You see, my mom and I have talked for years, YEARS people, about opening a business together. Obviously we never have until this year. And of all the times to open a business we do it during a pandemic, in quarantine, with my husband starting a new job and me quitting mine. I was blessed to be a kindergarten teacher for 5 years. Yet, when we found out we were expecting, I knew I had to stay home with him. So here we were, in the middle of all of this, but God still made a way for us to open Mountain Lilies Boutique. I'm always amazed at how God can work things out in the midst of the storm.
So that leads me to say this: "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord".
